Army Recuerdos
The music of Brian Michael Smith
The name Army Recuerdos means “army of memories” and came to me the same way that much of my music does, in a dream.

The 1st Collection of music I recorded in the early 2000’s and is the following three albums: KOLR, Still Waters, and Price of Gold. They were published and copywritten but never released to the public. Their first release was in 2023 as music NFT under the Enlisted Records label.

The 2nd Collection was recorded over the first four years during my time in service as a way of preserving my roots. These are the first songs I wrote but not the first to be recorded or published. This collection is the following three albums: Old Times, Humble Groove, and Another State.

The 3rd Collection is the music I was writing while in the service. I enjoyed turning marching cadences into songs and arranged music for many more that were not included here. This collection is the following three albums: Refugee, Family Lines, and On Your Way.

The 4th Collection was still being written as I transitioned out of the Army service and retired after a 20-year career as an enlisted soldier. This collection is the following three albums: Rehoboth, The Last, and Loving.
