4th Collection

Army Recuerdos 4th Collection of music by Brian Michael Smith

The 4th Collection of music is the two albums Rehoboth, and The Last. When they were recorded, they were released to the public in video format through YouTube and Instagram. They were recorded using multi-track software from Garage Band and video production on iMovie on the iOS. Sheet music was not created for these albums, only song sheets.

Rehoboth is a collection of 10 songs from 2019 to 2020. The album incorporates elements from the first three collections but is new music. Similar to the 1st Collection, its title has a religious theme coming from the Bible. Rehoboth is the name Abraham gave to a water source meaning “enough for all.” Like the 2nd Collection, a poem from a high school friend named Merica was used for the lyrics of “‘Merica’s Song.” The song “Jump” reflects on serving in the Army like the 3rd Collection. The cover photo was taken in Paris and is the subject of the song “Fleeting Beauty.”

The Last is a collection of 10 songs from 2020 to 2022. Its cover is a non-fungible token (NFT) created on OpenSea, the first of many to follow as every song is joined with their own unique music NFT. The album signifies change, the last time you will hear music first published through the traditional means of media. In the future it will be written into blockchain when it is joined with its unique, singular, token which can only be owned by a singular crypto wallet.

Loving is a collection of 10 songs from 2023 to 2024. The cover is a mixed media arrangement of graphics and a selfie symbolizing the different types of relationships we call love. The theme of love is sometimes pronounced in the songs, other times it is unspoken.
